Job summary

aCommerce in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Executive with 5+ years in accounting and finance. The role covers the full spectrum of finance operations, emphasizing accuracy, reliability and process improvements to support timely reporting.

You will lead month‑end close, prepare financial reports, oversee GL, AP and AR, manage inventory governance, ensure statutory compliance, and collaborate with operations, sales and procurement.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/finance experience; audit experience preferred.
• Proficient in SAP, Oracle, Netsuite or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; detail-oriented and analytical.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for month-end.
• Variance analysis and insights for management review.
• Oversee AP and AR processes for timely transactions.
• Monitor receivables and follow up with teams or customers.
• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance for all entries.
• Inventory reconciliation and governance; accuracy vs. system records.
• Strengthen inventory controls and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to improve processes.
• Ensure statutory tax compliance and liaise with auditors/tax agents.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows and controls.
• Cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales and procurement.
• Provide timely financial information and updates to management.
• Assist with ad-hoc analyses and projects as required.
