Job summary

FAIR WORK (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior Finance Executive to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and internal controls in a fast-growing Malaysian company.

You will partner with management to drive financial efficiency, ensure statutory compliance, and provide strategic insights for cost optimization and growth, while coordinating with auditors and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB).
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, SAP or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to ensure business stability.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, audit requirements, and regulatory filings (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, LHDN in Malaysia).
• Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulatory authorities.

About you

Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB).

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, SAP or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
