Job summary

Mason & Co in Malaysia is seeking a senior finance professional to manage full-set accounting and assist the Finance Manager in overseeing financial activities. You will support monthly closings, reconcile accounts, manage AR/AP, and ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a full-set accounting role.
• Familiarity with Excel and PowerBI.
• Ability to partner with other departments and assist cross-functional activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly flash statements, management accounts, and financial reports per Group requirements.
• Oversee monthly closing, including bank, vendor, intercompany, and AR/AP reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, credit control, and overdue debt recovery.
• Oversee accounts payable, supplier payments, statutory payments, and vendor aging.
• Monitor cash flow, debtor and creditor aging, overhead costs, and petty cash.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, GL postings, and compliance with audits and tax requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations and KPI compliance.

About the job

This is a senior individual contributor position within the finance department, focused on full-set accounting responsibilities and assisting the Finance Manager in managing finance-related activities.

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly flash statements, management accounts, and financial reports in accordance with Group requirements.
