Job summary

Rentokil Initial in Shah Alam, Malaysia seeks a Senior Finance Executive (GL & Reporting) to manage journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting. You will coordinate with the Finance Reporting Manager to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and group policies, while supporting audits and annual statements.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, applying strong Excel/Google skills and delivering timely, robust financial information to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience (audit preferred).
• Mandarin language ability read/speak is an added advantage.
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/MICPA/ASCPA) or equivalent.
• Strong IFRS accounting knowledge and experience.
• Practical experience in budgeting, accounting and forecasting in a large devolved organisation, preferably within the MNC environment.
• Fluent in the financial management of programs and projects.
• Familiarity with financial appraisal, financial modelling, and Excel/Google tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries based on supporting documents and assess accruals/reversals.
• Prepare and review month-end closing schedules and reconciliations.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries are properly supported and aligned with IFRS and group policies.
• Capture fixed assets and inventory movements and prepare month-end reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing activities and period closing.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and annual reporting packs.
• Assist in coordinating external/internal statutory audits and reporting timelines.
