Job summary

GDT Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Finance Executive / Senior Finance Executive to support core accounting operations. You will handle AP, payment processing, reconciliations, and month-end close, interfacing with auditors and internal teams.

The role requires a degree or diploma in accounting/finance, 3–5 years’ relevant experience, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Manufacturing exposure is a plus; immediate availability is desirable.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience for Finance Executive or 5 years for Senior Finance Executive.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of GL management and month-end closing.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SST and e-Invoicing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, staff claims, payment vouchers and related transactions.
• Verify documents and ensure compliance with policies and controls.
• Maintain AP ageing and monitor timely supplier payments.
• Handle intercompany transactions and perform reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing including GL reconciliation.
• Assist auditors, tax agents, and internal departments on finance matters.
• Support financial reporting and system enhancements.
