Job summary

ADV Precision Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Finance Executive for an on-site role in Perai, Penang. You will support the Finance Manager in daily finance and accounting operations, oversee cash flow, and assist in month-end closing to ensure timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 5 years’ experience, strong GL and AP knowledge, and proficiency in SAP FI. English and Mandarin communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of General Ledger and Accounts Payable.
• Proficient in SAP FI.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in daily finance and accounting operations.
• Monitor cash flow and cash flow forecast.
• Support month-end closing and timely financial reporting.
• Review vendor payments with proper supporting documents and approvals.
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors and external parties on finance matters.
• Guide the finance team in daily accounting tasks and maintain internal controls.

Job description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Perai, Penang.

The Senior Finance Executive will be responsible for:

Assisting the Finance Manager in daily finance and accounting operations.

Assisting in monitoring the company’s cash flow and cash flow forecast.

Supporting month-end closing activities and ensuring timely financial reporting.

Reviewing and verifying vendor payments to ensure proper supporting documents, approvals, and compliance with company procedures.

Performing Balance Sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, including variance analysis between actual and budgeted results.

Liaising with external parties such as auditors, bankers, tax agents, company secretaries, customs authorities, and other statutory bodies on finance-related matters.

Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinating with auditors during statutory and internal audit exercises.

Supervising and guiding finance team members in daily accounting functions to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Ensuring accounting systems, records, and financial processes comply with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, including Inland Revenue Board regulations.

Ensuring proper internal controls and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Participating in system enhancement, process improvement initiatives, and finance-related projects assigned by management.

Working closely with colleagues in the shared service center on finance and accounting activities.

Carrying out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior or management from time to time.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or related field

Strong understanding of General Ledger functions and Account Payable process

Proficient in SAP FI (Financial Accounting)

Committed, analytical, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Meticulous, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines

Able to start immediately is an added advantage

Proficient in English and Mandarin, as the role requires communication withing with Mandarin-speaking counterparties

Willing to work in Perai, Penang

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm
