Job summary

Mackenzie Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead financial reporting, budgeting, and treasury activities. The role oversees the accounting team, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives efficiency across FP&A, tax, and internal control processes.

The position requires strong knowledge of MFRS, SST, and E-Invoicing, with 5–8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/related sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required or equivalent.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), taxation, SST, and E-Invoicing requirements.
• Experience in project accounting, budgeting, treasury management, and audit coordination.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual financial closing activities and ensure timeliness.
• Review management accounts for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Supervise accounting entries, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Lead, coach, and review junior finance staff (AP, AR, GL) to improve efficiency.
• Monitor project costs and revenue recognition per standards.
• Assist budgeting and rolling forecasts with variance analysis.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and treasury activities.
• Coordinate tax compliance, audits, and regulatory submissions.
