ACCA Careers in Malaysia seeks a Manager - Finance & Compliance to lead the finance and compliance functions for a manufacturing MNC, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and effective contract vetting.

The role oversees treasury, taxation, audits, and banking, reporting to the Managing Director and guiding the finance team. Ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting with 5+ years in a similar role and is fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting from a recognized university.
• Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to financial management.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar position.
• Working experience in audit, tax and management consultation is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of computer accounting software, spreadsheets and word processing.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance and accounting department to develop, implement and maintain the financial, accounting and costing system.
• Ensure timely financial reporting for management reviews and decision making.
• Manage the company's financial resources and maintain optimum and efficient utilization of such resources.
• Develop and maintain efficient and effective internal control procedures to safeguard the assets of the company.
• Report to shareholders and corporate office on all financial matters required.
• Ensure that all personnel under the department concerned are properly trained and competent in their job.
• To ensure statutory compliance in all aspects of law.
• To ensure all agreements and contracts entered into by the company with another entity are vetted.
