Job summary

Qualifications

Senior Finance Associate, Finance Reporting

Senior Finance Associate in the Finance Reporting department, responsible for financial close activities, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and supporting audit and compliance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and month-end/quarter-end close activities
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP)
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit fieldwork, including preparing schedules and responding to audit queries
• Manage accounts payable/receivable escalations and oversight
• Assist with tax filings, statutory reporting, and regulatory submissions
• Review and improve financial processes and controls for efficiency and accuracy
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior finance staff

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Finance or Accountancy
• Strong technical and commercial awareness with demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office combined with general proficiency in IT systems
