Job summary

MST Facilities Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Account Manager to lead a major IFM contract at a semiconductor manufacturing facility in Ipoh, Perak. You will own account performance, manage relationships with stakeholders, and drive operational excellence across hard and soft services.

The role requires strong leadership, technical awareness, and proven experience managing mission‑critical facilities in a high‑performing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Facilities Management, IFM, or M&E operations.
• At least 5 years leading large-scale facilities operations or IFM contracts.
• Proven experience with semiconductor or mission-critical facilities is preferred.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, contract management and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of IFM account performance, KPIs, SLAs and profitability.
• Lead Hard and Soft Services operations and drive energy optimisation and digitalisation.
• Manage budgets, subcontractors and service partners to ensure quality and safety.
• Develop site leadership teams and conduct regular business reviews with the customer.
• Support contract renewals and identify growth opportunities within the account.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Facilities Account Manager to lead the delivery and overall performance of a major Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract at a semiconductor manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for account leadership, customer relationship management, operational excellence, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives covering both Hard and Soft Facilities Management Services.

This role requires strong leadership capability, technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and proven experience managing mission‑critical facilities within a high‑performance manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the IFM account performance, ensuring achievement of contractual KPIs, SLAs, customer satisfaction and profitability targets.

Lead and manage all Hard and Soft Services operations, including:

• Engineering maintenance (HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Utilities, Fire Protection, BMS and Building Systems).
• Facilities support services (Housekeeping, Waste Management, Pest Control, Landscaping and other contracted services).
• Establish strong strategic relationships with customer management and key stakeholders.
• Lead regular business reviews, performance discussions and improvement initiatives with the customer.
• Manage and develop a multidisciplinary site organization including Engineers, Chargemen, Supervisors, Technicians and service teams.
• Drive operational excellence through reliability improvement, energy optimization, digitalisation, automation and continuous improvement programmes.
• Own the account financial performance including budget management, cost optimisation, productivity improvement and contract profitability.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and service partners to ensure compliance with quality, safety and performance requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, customer EHS standards and company HSE policies.
• Support contract renewal strategies, additional service opportunities and business growth within the account.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to Facilities and site leadership teams.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Facilities Management, IFM, Engineering Services or M&E operations.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing large-scale facilities operations or IFM contracts.
• Proven experience managing semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, pharmaceutical, data centre or other mission‑critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of IFM operations, contract management, engineering systems and customer relationship management.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, cost control and account profitability.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with multinational corporations will be an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as HT Chargeman, Certified Facility Management Manager (CFMM), Registered Energy Manager (REM), Green Book SHO or equivalent will be advantageous.
