Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead our facilities operations in a semiconductor/electronics manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient workplaces that support employees and drive business success.

You will lead the facilities team, oversee building services and M&E systems, manage contractors, implement preventive maintenance, monitor budgets, and participate in EHS initiatives to enhance health, safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a technical or engineering‑related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Chargeman certification by the Malaysia Energy Commission (an advantage).
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and results‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with strong computer literacy.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to multitask and collaborate effectively across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facilities team to ensure buildings, equipment and surroundings are safe, functional and compliant.
• Oversee building services, M&E systems, maintenance, cleaning, landscaping and canteen operations.
• Manage external contractors and service providers, including tendering, contract negotiation and compliance inspections.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs for facilities and equipment.
• Monitor budgets and drive cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining efficiency and quality.
• Participate in the EHS committee to enhance health, safety and environmental policies and practices.
