PERMODALAN DARUL TA'ZIM Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior professional to lead strategic planning, business development, and project development initiatives in Malaysia. The role focuses on coordinating annual plans, KPI monitoring, and driving market analysis to identify opportunities for expansion.
The candidate will work with government bodies, corporate partners, and international organizations to develop viable proposals and manage complex strategic projects with cross-functional teams.

Develop and coordinate the Strategic Development Department's annual work plan in line with the organization's strategic direction and management directives.
Monitor and coordinate departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare periodic performance reports for management.
Develop, review and ensure compliance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and departmental processes.
Monitor the performance and KPI achievement of Special Projects staff and provide relevant reports to management.
Assist in preparing departmental manpower and operating budgets and monitor expenditure against approved allocations.
Support the implementation of departmental initiatives and ensure tasks and deliverables are completed within the stipulated timelines.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned with the organization's strategic direction and core business areas.
Conduct market, industry and economic analysis to identify emerging trends, market opportunities and potential areas for business expansion.
Develop and maintain business networks with:
Conduct preliminary assessments of potential business opportunities based on market potential, technological considerations, feasibility and organizational capabilities.
Identify potential strategic partnerships, collaborations and investment opportunities that can contribute to organizational growth.
Coordinate the development and evaluation of strategic and special projects from the initial concept stage through to proposal and management consideration.
Prepare feasibility studies, business cases, project papers and strategic recommendations for management and Board consideration.
Analyze commercial, operational, financial and strategic considerations relating to proposed projects.
Work closely with internal departments, external consultants, business partners and relevant agencies to develop viable project proposals.
Monitor the progress of strategic projects and prepare reports for submission to senior management.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, corporate organisations, business partners and other relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate and participate in engagement sessions, business meetings, presentations and negotiations relating to proposed projects and business opportunities.
Present business proposals, project concepts and strategic recommendations to management, business partners and relevant stakeholders.
Facilitate discussions with potential partners to identify opportunities for strategic collaboration, joint ventures or other forms of business cooperation.
Provide strategic input and recommendations to support sound business and investment decisions.
Prepare periodic reports, analysis and recommendations relating to business development and strategic projects.
Prepare presentation materials and management papers for senior management and Board of Directors' consideration.
Provide timely updates on the status, opportunities, risks and progress of strategic initiatives.
Undertake other strategic projects and assignments as directed by management.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Investment, Strategy, or other relevant disciplines. A strong academic and professional background in Finance or Economics will be highly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in strategic planning, business development, corporate strategy, management consulting, investment, financial analysis, project development, or a related field.
Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to conduct market, economic and business analysis and translate findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.
Good understanding of business development, market trends, feasibility assessment, investment considerations and strategic decision-making.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex business, financial and strategic matters to diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate stakeholders and deliver quality outputs within tight deadlines.
Experience in preparing business proposals, feasibility studies, investment papers, management papers, business cases or strategic recommendations will be an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau will be an added advantage.
