Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Group Reporting, Compliance & Stakeholder Management professional to oversee financial closing, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. The role includes ensuring timely preparation of financial and management reports and coordinating with auditors and authorities.

The successful candidate will drive budgeting and performance analyses, monitor group-wide financials, and support strategic projects across business units in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Prior external audit and/or property development experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of MFRS/IFRS and its application in property development.
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
• Analytical mindset and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end closing, full set of accounts, and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, statutory requirements and group policies.

Group Reporting, Compliance & Stakeholder Management

• Responsible to manage all account & finance related activities such as month end closing, full set of accounts, management accounts, collections, payments and etc
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly account, financial and management reports
• Ensure compliance with all accounting, tax, statutory, legislative requirement and group policies, including liaison with auditors, company secretaries, tax agents and other statutory authorities
• Manage the month-end closing and budgeting for specific investment holding and SPV companies
• Assist in overseeing the financial reporting for specific joint venture projects of the Group

Financial Planning & Performance Management

• Review and monitor Business Units’ monthly financial performance against budgets, identifying variances and proposing strategic action plans to be taken by management to optimise profits, cash flows and/or business processes
• Review and monitor monthly sales and stock movement across all Business Units
• Compile and review Business Units’ budget (income statement, balance sheet and cash flows), pricing & feasibility studies to establish the Group’s budget and business plan for each financial year
• Undertake any ad-hoc assignments and strategic projects as required by management from time to time

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
• Prior experience in external audit and/or the property development industry is highly preferred
• Good understanding of MFRS/IFRS and its application within the property development sector
• Strong proficiency in MS Office application and Accounting Software
• An analytical mindset and strong interpersonal skills, to collaborate effectively across different levels and stakeholders
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
