Job summary

BYD Malaysia is seeking a skilled KD operations professional to coordinate end-to-end CKD/KD processes between China HQ, the local assembly plant, suppliers and internal teams. The role focuses on manufacturing readiness, order planning, logistics, supplier coordination, quality management and finished vehicle inventory to ensure timely production.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of automotive manufacturing experience, with proficiency in English,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automotive, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing, vehicle assembly, KD/CKD/SKD operations, production planning or supply chain.
• Hands-on experience in CKD/KD operations or vehicle assembly is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of automotive manufacturing, KD/CKD logistics, import-export and customs processes.
• Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, accountable and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate KD model introduction, manufacturing readiness, production line planning and SOP preparation.
• Manage KD order planning, shipment, import documentation, customs clearance and delivery to the local assembly plant.
• Coordinate and monitor local suppliers on delivery, quality, capacity and production readiness.
• Handle KD kit receiving and quality issues, including shortages, incorrect or damaged parts, and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Monitor vehicle production and finished vehicle inventory, and align production output with sales demand.
• Coordinate with China HQ, the assembly plant, suppliers, Logistics, Sales, Production and Quality teams to resolve operational issues.
• Identify operational risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
