Job summary

Zeekr International in Malaysia is seeking an on-site Production Manager to lead workshop teams, manage equipment and material inventories, and organize shifts to meet output goals.

You will monitor process efficiency and safety, resolve daily manufacturing disruptions, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance and quality teams to lift plant throughput and performance.

Requires hands-on automotive manufacturing experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage workshop personnel, production equipment and raw material inventory. Organize shift teams to meet scheduled finished vehicle manufacturing output goals.
2. Track workshop operational efficiency, manufacturing process quality, site housekeeping standards and occupational safety protocols. Ensure full adherence to Malaysia local industrial safety laws and standards.
3. Identify and address day‑to‑day manufacturing disruptions promptly. Collaborate with process engineering, maintenance and quality control teams to resolve operational bottlenecks quickly.
4. Lead on‑site team administration and arrange regular skill training for frontline manufacturing employees. Refine workstation operational processes to lift overall plant throughput and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

1. Language Proficiency: Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu to support cross‑functional and local team coordination.
2. Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
3. Work Background: Hands‑on working experience within the automotive industry or large‑scale manufacturing sector; candidates with vehicle assembly plant experience are highly preferred.
4. Capabilities: Solid on‑site production management experience, with proven ability to handle production issues, optimize line efficiency and manage frontline shift teams.
5. Soft Skills: Able to work efficiently in fast‑paced manufacturing environment, strong cross‑department coordination and problem‑solving skills.
