Kanry Search seeks a seasoned Head of Manufacturing to provide overall leadership and strategic direction for its Malaysian operations. You will own the P&L, budgeting, cost control, profitability and drive end-to-end plant performance.
You will oversee Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and Facilities, set KPIs, lead improvement programs and build a high-performance leadership team across the site.
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the Malaysian manufacturing operations. Take full ownership of business performance, including P&L, budgeting, cost control, profitability and operational targets. Oversee the full spectrum of plant functions, including Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and Facilities.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with regional and group business objectives
Drive improvements in productivity, quality, delivery, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction
Lead capacity planning, capital expenditure, resource allocation and plant expansion initiatives
Establish clear KPIs and ensure department heads deliver against agreed business and operational targets
Strengthen manufacturing processes through Lean, continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Ensure products and operations comply with customer requirements, quality standards, safety regulations and company policies
Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, government authorities and regional stakeholders
Develop the senior leadership team, strengthen succession planning and build a high-performance culture
Identify operational and commercial risks and implement appropriate mitigation and business continuity measures
Report business performance, key challenges and strategic recommendations to regional and group management
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related discipline
At least 15 years of experience in manufacturing, including a minimum of five years in a senior leadership or plant management position
Proven experience managing end-to-end manufacturing operations within an MNC environment
Strong commercial and financial acumen, with hands-on experience managing P&L, budgets and cost improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of production, engineering, quality, supply chain and workforce management
Demonstrated success in improving productivity, quality, delivery performance and operational profitability
Experienced in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational excellence methodologies
Strong leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities
Able to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership
Strong command of written and spoken English; additional language capabilities are an advantage
