Job summary

Sunway Education Group in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Executive - Human Resources (Payroll) to join our HR Department. You will coordinate payroll with our outsourced partner, ensure accurate monthly processing and on-time payments, and maintain employee data in HR systems.

As the primary payroll contact, you will address employee queries, support expatriate tax matters, mentor team members, and contribute to HR projects and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR management or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant HR/payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of personal income tax and expatriate tax matters.
• Proficient in MS Excel and BI tools such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team lead to supervise payroll data collection, validation, and consolidation for outsourcing partner.
• Ensure accurate monthly payroll processing and on-time payments.
• Update employee information and access rights in HR systems.

Sunway Education Group is seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and experienced candidate who is passionate about delivering excellent HR services and support to join our HR Department. The incumbent will play a crucial role in collaborating closely with the team to execute various HR activities:

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the team lead to supervise the team in collecting, validating, and consolidating payroll information for timely submission to the outsourced payroll partner.

Work with the outsourced payroll partner to ensure accurate monthly payroll processing and on-time payments.

Ensure the accurate updating of employee information and access rights in HR systems.

Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, addressing payroll-related inquiries and issues, including support for expatriate employees on personal income tax matters.

Provide guidance to team members in handling day-to-day operational matters.

Offer first-level support for employees using various HR systems and e-applications, ensuring quick resolution of technical issues through collaboration with relevant parties.

Administer employee benefits programs and provide advice to employees.

Responsible for institutional surveys, compliance audits, and report preparation.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and HR projects.

Requirements:

Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.

At least 5 years of relevant working experience, with good knowledge of personal income tax.

A strong sense of responsibility and task ownership, with some experience leading or supervising a team.

Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel and Power BI.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
