Job summary

Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara seeks a capable lawyer to join its legal team. You will draft, review and negotiate contracts and medical documents, and help manage medico-legal matters in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will conduct legal research, advise on compliance with Malaysian laws, and maintain contract registers while liaising with internal stakeholders and external lawyers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in contract drafting, review and negotiation.
• Experience in medico-legal matters, litigation or healthcare is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian laws and regulations.
• Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Able to work independently, in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.

Identify and highlight legal and contractual risks and recommend appropriate actions.

LITIGATION & MEDICO-LEGAL

Assist in managing and coordinating medico-legal matters

Liaise with external lawyers, insurers and relevant internal departments on legal and medico-legal matters.

Follow up on litigation matters and ensure important deadlines and developments are properly tracked.

Assist in gathering medical records, documents and information required for legal matters.

COMPLIANCE & REGULATORY

Assist in reviewing and updating policies, SOPs, legal templates and procedures.

Conduct research on applicable laws, regulations and healthcare-related requirements.

Assist in identifying and addressing legal and compliance risks.

GENERAL LEGAL SUPPORT

Provide legal support to TMC Life Sciences Berhad, its affiliates and subsidiaries as required.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on legal matters.

Assist in maintaining the contract register, litigation tracker and other legal records.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant legal experience.
