Job summary

Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara seeks a strategic leader to head Group Quality, Risk & Sustainability. You will drive quality frameworks, oversee accreditation activities (CKAPS, MSQH, ISO), and ensure risk governance across the group. A proven track record in healthcare quality, risk, and ESG initiatives is essential.

You will lead cross-functional teams, report to senior management and the board, and push continuous improvement while maintaining regulatory compliance and business continuity.

• Degree in Quality Management or related field is required.
• Experience in healthcare quality, risk, and sustainability management.
• Knowledge of CKAPS, MSQH, ACHS, JCI and ISO standards is essential.

Lead and establish Group-wide Quality Management strategies, frameworks, policies, and standards.

Drive a culture of continuous quality improvement across all business units.

Oversee accreditation and certification initiatives including CKAPS, MSQH, ISO Standards, and other regulatory quality requirements.

Ensure effective implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the Group.

Monitor quality performance indicators and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Lead internal quality audits, external audits, accreditation assessments, and management reviews.

Ensure effective management of policies, SOPs, process documentation, and quality records.

Oversee incident management, root cause analysis, service recovery, and quality improvement programmes.

Provide regular quality performance reports and strategic recommendations to Senior Management and the Board.

Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Establish risk governance structures, policies, methodologies, and reporting mechanisms across all business entities.

Ensure strategic, operational, financial, clinical, compliance, and reputational risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated.

Oversee Group risk registers and ensure risk ownership is assigned appropriately.

Ensure compliance and timely reporting to all relevant committees.

Present key risk exposures, emerging risks, and mitigation plans to Executive Management and Board Committees.

Ensure risk management practices comply with local & internationally recognized standards.

Monitor effectiveness of implemented risk controls and recommend improvements.

Develop and maintain Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Crisis Management frameworks.

Lead business continuity and disaster recovery exercises across the Group.

Ensure compliance to Bursa Requirement.

Sustainability & ESG

Develop and drive the Group Sustainability Strategy aligned with corporate objectives.

Lead Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives and reporting requirements.

Establish sustainability performance indicators and monitoring mechanisms.

Coordinate sustainability-related disclosures and reporting to regulators, stakeholders, senior management, and the Board.

Promote responsible business practices and sustainability awareness throughout the Group.

Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, environmental stewardship, and social impact initiatives.

Ensure sustainability considerations are integrated into business planning and decision-making processes.

Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives relating to sustainability matters.

Ensure compliance to Bursa Requirement.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Degree in Quality Management or related field

Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in Quality Management, Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, Sustainability, or Healthcare Operations.

At least 5 years in a senior leadership position managing enterprise-wide functions.

Strong knowledge on CKAPS regulation, MSQH Accreditation Standards, ACHS Accreditation Standard, JCI Accreditation Standard and Continuous Quality Improvement methodologies.

Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks including ISO 31000.

Experience leading sustainability and ESG initiatives.

Experience engaging Senior Management, Board Committees, auditors, regulators, and accreditation bodies.

Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

Strong report writing, presentation, and communication abilities.

Proven leadership experience in driving organisational transformation and cultural change.

Strategic and visionary leader with strong business acumen.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.

Effective decision-maker with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
