Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for two (2) Contract Management & Commercial professionals to join our team in Kuala Lumpur and play a key role in driving effective contracting, commercial value, and supplier performance. The role will manage the contract lifecycle from pre-award sourcing and negotiations through to contract administration and close-out, while supporting commercial strategy, risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead and coordinate end-to-end contract activities from pre-award sourcing, RFQ/EOI, commercial evaluation and negotiation through contract award, administration, performance management, and close-out.
• Develop and support sourcing and commercial strategies, including pricing analysis, market benchmarking, alternative supplier identification, and long-term contracting arrangements to maximise value.
• Manage contractual matters, including claims, disputes, supplier performance, and commercial risks, in collaboration with legal, operational teams, Contract Owners, and relevant subject matter experts.
• Ensure effective contract governance through accurate documentation, records management, compliance with internal controls, legal and regulatory requirements, and support for audits.
• Drive continuous improvement of contracting processes, procedures, and systems while monitoring supplier compliance and implementing corrective actions to improve commercial and operational outcomes.

Requirements of the successful candidate:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement/ Purchasing role, supplier and contract management including where services have been delivered through a contractual structure of prime and sub-contractors.
• Proficiency in MS Office & ERP base systems and strong understanding of contract terms, procurement policies & commercial frameworks.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to confidently interact with people of all cultures at all levels.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Additional language will be an advantage.
