Job summary

BYD Malaysia seeks a Senior Executive, Commercial Finance to support the financial and commercial performance of the EV Charging business, with potential to assist other areas. You will monitor transactions, revenue, costs and partner settlements, and prepare analyses to guide business decisions.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in commercial finance, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial finance or revenue control.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with financial/accounting or BI systems.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.

The Senior Executive, Commercial Finance will support the financial and commercial performance of the Company’s business operations, with an initial focus on the EV Charging business. The role will primarily focus on the EV Charging business and may support other business areas as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and reconcile transactions, billing, payments, revenue and partner settlements.
• Support revenue assurance and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Analyse revenue, costs, profitability and key business performance indicators.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial performance tracking.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards and management analysis.
• Provide financial analysis to support business planning, pricing and new business initiatives.
• Support commercial and partner-related financial matters.
• Work closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations and Digital teams on business and financial matters.
• Improve financial controls, reporting processes and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial and commercial insights to support management reporting and decision-making.
• Support financial and commercial activities across other business lines and new business initiatives, as required by the Company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial finance, financial analysis, revenue control or transaction-based finance operations. Experience in payment reconciliation, billing or partner settlement is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with financial/accounting or BI systems.
• Good understanding of commercial KPIs, budgeting and financial performance.
• Good communication skills and ability to work across functions.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
