Job summary

B. Braun Medical Industries Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Tax Specialist to oversee timely tax returns and regulatory reports, analyze financial data for internal and external reporting, and advise on Malaysia taxes and related party transactions.

The role requires 3–6 years in taxation, strong knowledge of Malaysia tax compliance, and the ability to work both independently and within a team, with SAP and MS Office skills. English and Bahasa Melayu proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting/Business.
• 3–6 years of relevant taxation experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Malaysia tax compliance and all tax returns.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
• Experience handling desk and field tax audits with tax authorities.

Responsibilities

• Submit all tax returns, declarations and required reports on time and with quality.
• Analyze financial data for periodic internal and external reporting.
• Advise on Malaysia withholding tax, service tax, related party transactions and transfer pricing issues.
• Evaluate activities, policies, and transactions for regulatory compliance.
• Share tax/work improvement knowledge quarterly.
• Collaborate with finance, HR and operations to embed tax compliance in processes.
• Manage relationships with external tax consultants for service quality.
• Support ad-hoc tax projects.

Job description

Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations and other required reports required by competent authorities are submitted in a timely and quality manner.

Conduct analysis on financial data for periodic internal and external reportings

Advise on matters related to Malaysia withholding tax, service tax, related party transactions and transfer pricing issues

Evaluate the organisation's current or proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations

Share knowledge on tax/work improvement in the company for each quarter

Work closely with finance, HR and operations teams to embed tax compliance into everyday business processes

Manage ongoing relationships with, external tax consultants to ensure the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.

Support in ad-hoc projects

What you will bring to the team:

Bachelor Degree preferably in Finance/ Accounting/Business.Preferable at least 3-6 years of relevant experience in taxation field.

Excellent knowledge of Malaysia Tax compliance and all types of tax returns.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good knowledge of SAP and MS. Office.

Managing desk and field tax audits dealing directly with tax authorities.

Good proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu.
