Job summary

BDO Malaysia is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition professional to lead end-to-end recruitment across Audit, Tax, Advisory and corporate functions. You will partner with business leaders to understand workforce needs and translate them into effective hiring plans, while building strong candidate pipelines and enhancing the candidate experience.

You'll leverage LinkedIn, job portals and external partners, ensure fair processes, and provide market insights on salary trends to support

• 3+ years of recruitment/ HR experience in professional services or similar.
• Proven ability to hire at scale across multiple service lines.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia's talent market and hiring practices.

Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Talent Acquisition professional to play a key role in shaping how BDO attracts, engages, and secures the right talent for our continued growth. In this role, you will lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment function across Audit, Tax, Advisory, and corporate functions, partnering closely with business leaders to deliver quality hiring outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities across assigned service lines, from sourcing, screening, interview to offer management.
• Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand workforce needs and translate them into effective hiring plans.
• Source, attract and engage suitable candidates through multiple channels, including LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, recruitment partners, universities and career events.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of talent to support ongoing and future hiring needs, including entry-level, experienced and critical roles.
• Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through targeted sourcing, and market research to support current and future hiring needs
• Ensure recruitment processes are fair, consistent, timely and aligned with internal policies, employment requirements and candidate experience standards.
• Provide practical market insights to hiring managers on candidate availability, salary expectations and hiring challenges.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment partners and other talent sourcing channels to ensure quality and cost-effective hiring outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools and practices to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.
• Track and report key recruitment updates, hiring progress and recruitment metrics to support management decision-making.
• Support recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives to strengthen BDO’s positioning as an employer of choice, where necessary.
• For Assistant Manager level, lead or guide junior team members where applicable and support capability building within the Talent Acquisition team.

Education and professional skills / knowledge

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in in Human Resources, Business Administration or any related fields
• With at least three (3) years of experience in Recruitment / Human Resources role
• Hands-on experience in leveraging recruitment platforms, including LinkedIn recruitment tools, job postings, and external recruitment partners to support candidate sourcing
• Strong understanding of the Malaysian talent market especially within the professional services industry

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proven track record of hiring at scale across diverse service lines, while managing stakeholders effectively
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse candidates, hiring managers and external recruitment partners
• Experience with ATS and data-driven recruitment approaches
• Prior experience in sourcing passive candidates through LinkedIn and other job portals
• Proactive, self-driven and adaptable, with a strong willingness to learn and continuously improve
• Candidates with recruitment agency / headhunting experience are encouraged to apply
