Tentacle Tech in Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer to support equity operations and core back-office systems onsite in the finance sector. You will implement, support and maintain interfaces, ensuring stability, compliance and readiness for evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant senior-level experience.
• Hands-on experience with AS400 and back office application support.
• Knowledge of stockbroking operations and user administration.
• Familiarity with RPG, SQLRPG and WRKQRY is an advantage.
• Exposure to Java, Linux, WebSphere or Windows Server is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a methodical, compliance-minded approach.

Responsabilités

• Support daily IT operations, including systems, infrastructure, network and preventive maintenance, while maintaining 99.9% system availability.
• Work proactively and anticipatively to prevent issues before they impact the business.
• Deliver front, middle and back office system changes and requirements within agreed SLA timeframes.
• Ensure supported systems and their interfaces are well integrated and comply with policies and guidelines.
• Coordinate with team members, end users, project teams and vendors, maintaining clear documentation and communication.
• Contribute to project and enhancement deliverables, following Change Management processes.
• Address audit issues promptly and complete periodic system exercises as required by policy.
