Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking a Software Developer for a 12-month onsite contract in Kuala Lumpur. You will build Java-based applications and microservices, design scalable APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production stability and performance.

Requirements include 5+ years of Java experience (Java 11/17), Spring Boot/microservices, and experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL. Cloud-native tools like OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD/DevOps practices are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience (Java 11/17).
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API development.
• Database development experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development and container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Git, with Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

The Role

Are you a hands-on Java developer who enjoys building robust, scalable systems that matter? We are seeking a Software Developer / Software Programmer for a 12-month onsite contract assignment in Kuala Lumpur, working within a large enterprise environment in the financial services sector. You will be part of a collaborative delivery team, shaping backend services and microservices while keeping production environments stable and high-performing.
