Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking a Head of Investment Core Technology Services to lead an offshore application support team, coordinating with business users in Singapore, technology teams, and external vendors. The role is critical for safeguarding the stability and performance of front-to-back trading applications in a high-availability setting.

You will drive incident management, process improvements, and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mission-critical financial services/app support
• 5+ years leading offshore application support teams
• Proven track record in incident/problem management and service delivery in high-availability environments
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management and communication skills
• Knowledge of ITIL, change and release management; familiarity with Microsoft/Linux environments
• Understanding of SQL, APIs, middleware, batch processing and scripting/automation

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore application support team with defined procedures and SLAs
• Oversee incident, problem and service requests with root cause analysis
• Monitor application health and ensure batch processes run within windows
• Serve as primary tech contact for Singapore-based business users and vendors
• Manage vendors and service providers; coordinate upgrades and troubleshooting
• Drive automation, monitoring, and dashboards to improve reliability and reduce risk
• Support audits and participate in disaster recovery exercises

The Role

As Head, Investment Core Technology Services, you will lead an offshore application support team and act as the key link between business users in Singapore, technology teams and external vendors. This is a critical leadership position in the finance sector, where you will safeguard the stability, availability and performance of a front-to-back trading application landscape running on a 24x5.5 support model.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach and mentor the offshore application support team, setting clear procedures, escalation paths and service standards
• Oversee incident, problem and service request management, driving timely resolution and root cause analysis
• Monitor application health proactively and ensure critical batch processes, interfaces and market data feeds run within service windows
• Act as the primary technology contact for business users in Singapore and keep stakeholders informed during major incidents
• Manage vendors and service providers, ensuring service levels are met and coordinating upgrades, patches and troubleshooting
• Drive automation, monitoring, alerting and operational dashboards to improve reliability and reduce operational risk
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, support audits, and take part in disaster recovery and resilience testing

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 10 years of experience supporting and managing mission-critical applications in financial services, capital markets, brokerage or banking
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing application support teams, including offshore teams across multiple locations
• Strong track record in production support, incident management, problem management and service delivery in high-availability environments
• Solid stakeholder and third-party vendor management skills, with excellent communication and analytical abilities
• Knowledge of ITIL, change management and release management, with experience on Microsoft and/or Linux platforms
• Good understanding of SQL, APIs, middleware, application monitoring, batch processing, job scheduling and scripting or automation
• Advantageous: exposure to trading, brokerage, clearing and settlement, market data or wealth management applications, and cloud platforms
