Job summary

ams OSRAM is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment at our Kedah, Malaysia facility. You will perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot failures and drive continuous improvement programs to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and at least 8 years of front-end wafer fabrication equipment experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science required.
8+ years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment experience required.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform equipment scheduled maintenances according to schedules and specifications.
Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform unscheduled maintenance to minimize downtime.
Prepare daily maintenance and troubleshooting reports for engineers and supervisors.
Maintain equipment spare parts and consumables.
Engage in equipment Continuous Improvement Programs.
Support new equipment hookup and startup activities.
Adhere to EHS and 5S policies; follow Waste Management and Cleanroom protocols.
Support production equipment-related activities such as material preparation.
