Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors seeks an experienced Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to lead scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on front-end wafer fabrication equipment in Kulim, Malaysia. You will drive reliability improvements and support state-of-the-art process solutions in a high-precision cleanroom environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with 8+ years of equipment experience, strong cross-functional leadership, and proficiency in OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; Master’s/PhD advantageous.
• 8+ years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (process & equipment eng, production).
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment scheduled maintenances according to maintenance schedules and specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform unscheduled maintenances to ensure quality recovery and minimum down time.
• Prepare daily scheduled / unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activity reports for engineers and supervisors.
• Maintain equipment spare parts and consumables.
• Engage in equipment Continuous Improvement Programs.
• Support new equipment hookup and startup activities.
• Adhere to company 5S, EHS, Waste Management, Cleanroom Protocol and Total Quality Management System policies.
• Support activity related to production equipment, such as material preparation.

• Perform equipment scheduled maintenances according to the maintenance schedules and specifications

• Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Sciene. Candidate with Master's Degree or PhD will have an addded advantage.
• Must have at least 8 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment working experience, competency in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development
• Experienced in leading cross-functional teams (process & equipment engineering, production)
• Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural multi-national working environment & organization.
• Skilled in OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D problem solving, FMEA, DMAIC, TWI.
• Flent in Engish and Bahawa Malaysia.
