Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors seeks a skilled equipment technician to perform scheduled maintenance on front-end wafer fabrication gear, troubleshoot issues, and report daily activity to engineers and supervisors to minimize downtime.

You will participate in Continuous Improvement programs, assist with new equipment hookup, maintain parts inventory, and strictly follow 5S, EHS, waste management, and cleanroom protocols in a multinational team. Bahasa Melayu and English fluency required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.
• Minimum 3 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, process engineering or product/process development.
• Familiar with OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, TWI, Digital Manufacturing and Automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment scheduled maintenance per schedules and specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to ensure quality and minimize downtime.
• Prepare daily maintenance and troubleshooting reports for engineers and supervisors.
• Engage in equipment Continuous Improvement Programs and support new equipment hookup.

• Perform equipment scheduled maintenances according to the maintenance schedules and specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform unscheduled maintenances to ensure quality recovery and minimum down time.
• Prepare daily scheduled / unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activity reports for engineers and supervisors and maintain equipment spare parts and consumables
• Engage in equipment Continuous Improvement Programs and support new equipment hookup and startup activities.
• Adhere to company 5S, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Waste Management, Cleanroom Protocol and Total Quality Management System policies.
• Support activity related to production equipment, such as material preparation.

• Candidate must have at least a Diploma in Engineering, preferably in the field of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics or vocationally trained.
• More than 3 years of front-end semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment working experience.
• Experienced in manufacturing, process engineering, product or process development.
• Familiar with OEE, SPC, FDC, 8D problem solving, FMEA, DMAIC, TWI, Digital Manufacturing and Automation.
• Able to work effectively in cross-cultural multi-national working environment & organization.
• Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English.
• Able to work in shift rotation.
