Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the entire engineering operations of the hotel’s systems, plant, and equipment. You will ensure efficient budgeting, safety, and service quality, while upholding Hilton’s light and warmth of hospitality.

You’ll direct capital projects, manage maintenance, and oversee 24/7 emergency readiness to protect guests and assets. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive, guest-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or relevant certification.
• 10+ years in hotel/building services or related field; 5+ years as Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer in a 5-star hotel; resort experience is a plus.
• Trade-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing/Gas Fitting.
• Willingness to respond 24/7 for emergencies.
• Specialized knowledge in HVAC, water treatment, hydraulics, chillers, electronics, lighting, elevators, fire safety, and related systems.
• Maintains all hotel building services (security, A/C, plumbing, electrical, kitchen, laundry, lifts, TV/sound systems).
• Familiar with government regulations and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations: oversee safety, compliance, and performance of buildings and mechanical/electrical/HVAC systems in line with regulations.
• Oversee facility maintenance: supervise inspections and repairs of electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems.
• Direct capital projects, budgeting, bidding, and permitting while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Oversee work order fulfillment: ensure maintenance requests are logged and tracked in the PMMS.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate with government officials for permits and inspections.
• Cultivate a high-performing team through development and recognition programs.
• Foster cross-department communication and professional collaboration.
• Maintain excellent guest privacy and service quality.
• Manage sustainability projects and monitor efficiency via the building automation system.
