Job summary

MISC Group in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Engineer, Planning to coordinate project execution, develop and monitor schedules, and provide progress reporting to support safe, timely and cost-effective offshore project delivery.

The role requires strong planning, project management skills and the ability to mobilise offshore on short notice, with PE registration preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the marine or oil and gas industry, or at least 1 year in shipbuilding or ship repair.
• Strong planning, organising, project management and progress-reporting skills.
• Ability to mobilise offshore on short notice.
• Professional Engineer registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project schedules, monitoring updates and daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning interfaces.
• Track and expedite critical equipment and materials.
• Log, monitor and analyse design and procurement variances, change proposals and contract variations.
• Support project management execution planning and technical and commercial tender activities.
• Work with project teams, clients, operators and contractors to resolve interfaces and maintain delivery against schedule and budget.
• Comply with Offshore and Corporate QHSSE policies, procedures and guidelines.
