Job summary

Misc Group is seeking an experienced Engineer to provide technical support for Hull Structure Systems and related engineering calculations for floating offshore facilities. You will develop design philosophy, basis of design, and statements of work for marine sub-contracting services, ensuring deliverables align with project plans, schedule, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in hull structure and appurtenance systems for floating offshore facilities.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in design and engineering on New Build Hull and conversion of existing oil tanker to floating offshore facilities (i.e. FPSO / FSO, FLNG, etc.).
• Experienced in the use of relevant analysis software and related engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform engineering deliverables for Hull Structure System in Technology-OBU to ensure safe, fit-for-purpose, robust and cost-effective floating offshore facilities design and operation.
• Develop Hull Structure design and operation philosophy, basis of design, functional specification and SOW for MSQ / RFQ for marine engineering sub-contracting services.
• Develop and perform the engineering deliverables and as per project planning and schedule.

Job description

To provide technical support to Lead Engineer Hull Structure and perform engineering calculation/ analysis, drawings/ layouts and package specifications for project execution within stipulated schedule and cost.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop and perform engineering deliverables for Hull Structure System in Technology-OBU to ensure safe, fit-for-purpose, robust and cost-effective floating offshore facilities design and operation.
• Develop Hull Structure design and operation philosophy, basis of design, functional specification and SOW for MSQ / RFQ for marine engineering sub-contracting services.
• Develop and perform the engineering deliverables and as per project planning and schedule.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in engineering design of hull structure and appurtenance systems for floating offshore facilities, including:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in design and engineering on New Build Hull and conversion of existing oil tanker to floating offshore facilities (i.e. FPSO / FSO, FLNG, etc.).
• Experienced in the use of relevant analysis software, (e.g. SESAM Genie, SACS, FEMAP/ NASTRAN, ABS ISE/ TSA, MARS 2000, VERIStar HULL etc.).
• Relevant recognized qualifications – Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Civil, Structure or other related engineering) discipline.
