Job summary

Misc Group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineering leader to direct Subsea Structure System design for floating offshore facilities, ensuring safety, fit-for-purpose and cost-effective outcomes within schedule. You will develop the design philosophy, basis of design, and SOW for mooring sub-contracting and oversee all deliverables per project plans.

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years in subsea engineering, with FPSO/FSO or FLNG exposure, and strong proficiency in GRLWEAP,

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of subsea structure design experience for floating offshore facilities.
• Minimum 2 years in design/engineering for FPSO/FSO, FLNG, CALM buoy.
• Proficient with GRLWEAP, APILE, OPILE, ABAQUS/ANSYS, FEMAP/NASTRAN.
• Programming experience in Python or Matlab.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structure, Ocean/Offshore, Mechanical, Marine or related).
• Preferred: PE with Practising Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering deliverables development for Subsea Structure System to ensure safe, robust and cost-effective design.
• Lead development of mooring engineering SOW for MSQ / RFQ of sub-contracting services.
• Oversee execution of all engineering deliverables per project planning and schedule.

Job description

To manage resources, provide technical guidance and direction, ensuring completion and quality of deliverables within schedule and cost.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Lead the development of engineering deliverables for Subsea Structure System in Technology-OBU, to ensure safe, fit-for-purpose, robust and cost-effective floating offshore facilities design and operation.
• Lead the development of Subsea Structure design and operation philosophy, basis of design, functional specification and SOW for MSQ / RFQ of mooring engineering sub-contracting services.
• Lead the execution of all engineering deliverables as per project planning and schedule.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in engineering design of subsea structure system for floating offshore facilities, including:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in design and engineering of subsea structure for floating offshore facilities (e.g. FPSO / FSO, FLNG, CALM buoy, etc.).
• Experience and competent in the use of relevant analysis software, (e.g. GRLWEAP, APILE, OPILE, ABAQUS/ ANSYS, FEMAP/ NASTRAN, etc.).
• Experienced in the use of relevant programming language, i.e. Python, Matlab, etc.
• Relevant recognized qualifications – Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structure, Ocean/ Offshore, Mechanical, Marine or other related engineering) discipline.
• Preference: Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate / Registered with relevant professional body.
