Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an Engineering Technician in Malaysia to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment. You will reference schematics to perform testing, fault isolation, and procedures, contributing to precision engineering and reliable performance.

You’ll work in a hybrid model, collaborating with engineers on prototypes and models, and you’ll help ensure quality through meticulous testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work a shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and troubleshooting from schematics and defined plans.
• Test system and component level issues in electrical and mechanical subsystems.
• Inspect materials and components for defects; measure circuitry with precision tools.
• Conduct fault isolation and determine remedies for malfunctions.
• Use test equipment, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized apparatus.
• Collaborate with development engineers on prototypes and models.
