Job summary

Lam Research Malaysia provides technical assistance to Test Technicians by troubleshooting new or persistent issues, performing rework, and expediting solutions to Leads, Engineers, and Supervisors based on established methods.

Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems, inspects materials for defects, and conducts operational tests to fault isolate and improve equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of related work experience.
• Good understanding on electrical schematics, mechanical drawing and technical manuals.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to other Test Technicians by troubleshooting new or persistent issues, performing rework, accessing computer systems, reviewing schematics, and utilizing fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex issues by utilizing BKM/Tech Bulletins/FCOs.
• Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry using test equipment and manuals.
• Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment; assist in remedying malfunctions.
• Support the design, construction, test, and checkout of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Collaborate with development engineers conducting engineering tests to collect design data.
