Job summary

Lam Research in Malaysia (Penang) is seeking an Engineering Technician to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems and test equipment. Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–10 years of related work experience.
• Good understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical drawing and technical manuals.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Proficient in using computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work on a shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to other Test Technicians by troubleshooting issues and performing rework.
• Test and troubleshoot system- and component-level problems in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Inspect materials and measure circuitry using electronic test equipment and precision instruments.
• Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Support design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment, including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Collaborate with development engineers conducting tests to collect design data.
