Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Malaysia is seeking an Engineering Technician to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems and experimental circuitry. You will reference schematics, perform fault isolation, and assist in remedying malfunctions with precision and problem-solving skills.

The role involves testing, troubleshooting, and collaborating with development engineers on prototypes and models.

Qualifications

6+ years of related experience.
Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
Ability to work a shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry, using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment help in determining methods to remedy malfunctions.
Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
Collaborates with development engineers creating, designing, and troubleshooting prototypes and models.
