Job summary

Lam Research in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Engineering Technician within Manufacturing Engineering to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment.

You will conduct testing, fault isolation, and troubleshooting using schematics and diagrams, contributing to day-to-day PM test issue resolution and collaborating with development engineers.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-10 years of related work experience.
• Good understanding on electrical schematics, mechanical drawing and technical manuals.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work on a shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to other Test Technicians by troubleshooting issues and performing rework.
• Test and troubleshoot system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Inspect materials and measure circuitry using electronic test equipment and precision instruments.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Collaborate with development engineers on engineering tests to collect data.
