Job summary

Unigra Food Processing Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced technician to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment at our Tanjung Langsat on-site facility in Malaysia.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Control Engineering and a minimum of 5 years in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation maintenance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Control Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation maintenance.
• Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Possession of a Chargeman or Wireman Certificate will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment including motors, control systems, sensors, transmitters, PLCs, and electrical circuits.
• Diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues, analyze system problems, and identify faults using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Calibrate instrumentation devices to ensure accurate measurements and readings following industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment specs, and inspection reports; document changes to systems.
• Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot to rectify issues promptly.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including but not limited to motors, control systems, sensors, transmitters, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and electrical circuits.

Diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues, analyze system problems, and identify faults using various diagnostic tools and techniques.

Calibrate instrumentation devices to ensure accurate measurements and readings, following established industry standards and procedures.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and inspection reports. Document any changes or modifications made to electrical and instrumentation systems.

Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, power outages, or process interruptions, to troubleshoot and rectify electrical and instrumentation issues promptly.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

Requirement:

Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Control Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation maintenance.

Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.

Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.

Possession of a Chargeman or Wireman Certificate will be an added advantage.

Any training certificate related to Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation will be an added advantage.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Able to work in rotation shift pattern.

Able to work on site at Tanjung Langsat area.
