Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking a Senior DFT & Manufacturing Testability Engineer to join the Hardware Product Solutions team in Malaysia. You will drive DFT excellence for complex electronics from design through ramp to ensure robust test coverage and high yield in high‑volume production.

You will collaborate with design, PCB, firmware, and production teams to optimize test strategies and implement boundary scan and ICT solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years experience in DFT, manufacturing test, or related fields.
• Strong PCB and electronics manufacturing knowledge; test methodologies.
• Hands-on with Boundary Scan (JTAG), ICT, and Functional Test development.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFT reviews across product development to meet manufacturing test requirements.
• Review schematics and PCB layouts to close testability gaps before design freeze.
• Evaluate test point accessibility, coverage, and debug readiness.
• Assess and verify JTAG implementation and scan chain integrity.
• Analyze manufacturing test coverage using ICT, Boundary Scan, and Functional Test.
• Model/test coverage against MTRS and project quality targets.
• Collaborate with hardware/design teams to implement DFT improvements.
• Drive resolution of testability challenges through cross‑functional discussions.
• Support test strategy development for ICT, Functional Test, and system testing.
• Participate in NPI transfers from development to production.
• Troubleshoot test failures during prototype and first article builds.
