Job summary

Altera Corporation in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to develop and deploy manufacturing test solutions for FPGA products. You will collaborate with Design, DFT, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Software teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable test solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering is required.
• Experience in semiconductor test development or manufacturing test environments.
• Strong knowledge of digital circuits and semiconductor testing methodologies.
• Experience with test vectors, coverage analysis, and silicon debugging.
• Familiarity with DFT concepts such as Scan, ATPG, MBIST, JTAG, boundary scan.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-chip test methodologies and manufacturing test solutions.
• Define and verify on-chip DFT structures and test strategies.
• Generate test vectors and perform coverage analysis to improve quality.
• Develop, debug, and validate Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programs.
• Support first silicon bring-up, debug, and production ramp activities.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams throughout product development.
• Analyze test results and identify root causes for corrective actions.
• Drive test optimizations to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
• Maintain test modules and related infrastructure.
