Job summary

DKSH Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Executive, Demand Planning on a 3 to 6 months contract. The role drives improvements in demand forecasting by integrating S&OP and partnering with sales, client management and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and forecast accuracy.

Responsibilities include developing seasonal demand plans, analyzing trends, and maintaining KPI targets such as forecast accuracy.

Qualifications

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Statistics or related field.
• Experience in demand planning or supply chain forecasting is desirable.
• Understanding of demand forecasting methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data and translate insights into action.
• Sound business acumen with understanding of consumer goods market.

Responsibilities

• Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products to ensure a reliable product supply
• Develop and implement product demand plans aligned to organizational objectives and targets
• Create seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate promotions to ensure supply readiness
• Generate forecasts by analyzing demand patterns and market trends to improve accuracy
• Collaborate with customers, sales, client management and supply chain partners to improve forecast accuracy
• Maintain demand plans balancing cost-effectiveness with customer requirements
• Support risk assessment and mitigation through ROI and historic performance data
• Monitor actual offtake against monthly forecasts and address variances
• Identify opportunities to fulfill demand during supply constraints and minimize disruptions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of demand planning processes and systems
• Ensure KPIs like forecast accuracy and bias are met and conduct root-cause analyses
• Manage SKU rationalization to optimize product portfolio
• Support S&OP processes and client onboarding to S&OP
• Collaborate with team toward shared goals and pursue self-development in DKSH values
• Handle administrative and coordination tasks as required
