Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Demand Planning Lead in Kuala Lumpur to ensure the right products are available at the right time while maintaining healthy inventory levels. You will develop accurate sales forecasts based on sales data, market trends, promotions, and new product launches and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years in demand planning, supply chain planning, or forecasting.
• Experience in FMCG, beauty, skincare, cosmetics, retail, or e-commerce preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead demand planning and forecasting process.
• Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
• Analyse sales trends, seasonality, promotions, and demand.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and identify improvement areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and product availability.
• Identify overstock, understock, slow-moving, and out-of-stock risks.
• Support inventory optimisation and reduce excess stock.
• Prepare demand forecasts for new product launches and promotions.
• Work with Marketing and Sales teams to understand campaign and launch plans.
• Monitor sales performance and adjust forecasts when needed.
• Identify potential stock risks before major campaigns and launches.
• Support the S&OP process and align demand with supply plans.
• Present forecasts, key trends, and potential risks to management.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve demand and supply issues.
• Prepare demand planning reports and dashboards.
• Track forecast accuracy, inventory levels, stock coverage, and inventory ageing.
• Analyse data and provide recommendations to improve planning and inventory management.
• Set clear planning processes and guidelines.
• Drive improvements in forecasting and inventory planning.
• Improve planning efficiency through better processes, systems, and automation.
