Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Lead (Data Centre) to drive governance, planning, and delivery of mission critical facilities in Malaysia. You will oversee scope, budgets, procurement, and contract management while coordinating with clients and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion.

Ideal candidates bring a decade of data centre or critical facility experience, strong leadership, and expertise in risk management and QA.

Qualifications

• Degree in project management, construction management, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering (or related).
• At least 10 years of experience in Data Centre, Construction or Mission Critical Industry.
• Proven track record of successful mission critical facility project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance and functional support to the project team and define scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
• Interface with delivery team on schedule status and ensure alignment to contractual timings.
• Provide procurement process support and leverage learnings across projects.
• Develop detailed budgets and allocate resources efficiently with regular financial reviews.
• Monitor project performance and risk, including monthly progress, finances, and risk mitigation.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and negotiate with vendors for better terms.
• Monitor and develop training for project team to improve skills and efficiency.
• Review and manage contracts to ensure favorable terms and financial clarity.
• Prepare regular financial reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Implement QA processes to avoid costly rework and protect client satisfaction.
