Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Lead (Data Centre) in Malaysia to oversee scope, planning, procurement, budget, and risk across mission critical facilities. You will govern project teams, align schedules to contractual timings, and manage stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires a degree in a related field and 10+ years’ experience in data centres or mission critical projects, with expertise in industrial commissioning and recognized professional

Qualifications

• Degree in project management, construction management, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering (or a related field).
• At least 10 years of experience in either Data Centre, Construction or Mission Critical Industry.
• Proven track record of successful mission critical facility project delivery.
• Experience in complex industrial commissioning (Cx) process.
• Achieved industry recognized professional qualification, such as RICS, COIB, AIPM (CPPD), PMP, MSP, ICE, LEED or similar.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Project, Primavera, Procore, CS alloy) and other relevant tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance and functional support to the project team.
• Define project scope, clearly outline objectives, deliverables and milestones.
• Interface with delivery team regarding schedule status and ensure alignment with contractual timings.
• Provide functional support to enable effective procurement and delivery of the process.
• Develop detailed budgets, allocate resources, and conduct periodic financial reviews.
• Monitor project performance and risk; lead monthly progress and risk reviews.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, negotiate with vendors for better terms.
• Monitor team performance and invest in training to improve efficiency.
• Review contracts to ensure financial terms are favorable and clear.
• Prepare regular financial reports and maintain detailed documentation.
