Job summary

MTS Global Pte Ltd is urgently hiring a Senior Data Centre Operations Lead / DCT Team Lead to oversee a large-scale data centre project in Kulai. The role requires hands-on leadership of the onsite Data Centre Technician team, ensuring daily operations, safety, and SLA compliance.

The ideal candidate has extensive data centre operations experience, server hardware expertise, and strong vendor coordination skills, with the ability to guide the team through incident handling and ongoing service

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in IT, CS, Networking or related technical discipline.
• 6–10 years in data centre operations or IT infrastructure.
• Experience leading or supervising a technician onsite or operations team.
• Strong server hardware knowledge: rack & stack, patching, replacements.
• Experience with break-fix activities for servers and storage.
• Familiar with ticketing systems, incident/change management and SLAs.
• Ability to read SOP/MOP/EOP and asset records.
• Good understanding of data centre safety and access control.
• Strong communication to coordinate with clients, vendors and teams.
• Able to work in a 24x7 mission-critical environment and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate onsite Data Centre Technician / DC team.
• Manage daily operations, shift handovers and manpower.
• Serve as first escalation point for technical or safety issues.
• Support server hardware installation, rack & stack and remote hands.
• Oversee cabling, patching, labeling and cable management.
• Coordinate server deployment, relocation and decommissioning.
• Ensure work follows SOP/MOP/EOP, safety and access rules.
• Review tickets and incidents to ensure timely closure.
• Monitor SLA performance and escalate high-priority incidents.
• Coordinate with client, engineers and facility teams.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation, asset records and handover notes.
• Conduct daily/weekly briefings and coach junior technicians.
• Identify risks and improvement areas; support audits.
