Job summary

Coface Malaysia is seeking a results-driven Credit Analyst to assess debtor risk and manage a portfolio of debtors in a hybrid work setting in Kuala Lumpur. You will verify credit information, liaise with Underwriters, and ensure timely risk reviews to support decision-making.

The role requires 5+ years in credit risk, strong analytical skills, and ability to work with cross-border teams within a global insurer. Flexible working model follows initial office period.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk analysis or related fields.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities with excellent questioning skills.
• Understanding of banking products and how financing works.
• Experience in multicultural/international corporate environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect company information via research, calls, and visits to update financial and credit data.
• Review information sources for accuracy and consistency to support risk assessments.
• Validate credit ratings (DRA) based on group rules and ensure up-to-date position.
• Maintain debtor structures and manage large or sensitive exposures.
• Collaborate with Risk Underwriting and back-office to optimize information flow.
