Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a senior competency consultant to provide expert guidance in skill assessment, learning development and talent management across customer organizations.

You will partner with customers to implement talent solutions, model technical competencies, and design training strategies for ICT and digital transformation. You will lead complex international projects, conduct needs analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, HR or equivalent.
• 5+ years in talent cultivation and development management or consulting (training center construction, competency modeling, talent review, learning map, training plan design).
• 5+ years in ICT field with understanding of digital transformation and alignment with business values.
• Familiar with HR Talent Development and Learning Development Management; IT/Big Data/AI technologies; SFIA knowledge or ATD certification preferred.
• Familiar with organizational structures, business and ICT talent management of telecom operators or enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of complex and international projects including competency modeling, skill assessment and learning map design.
• Engage with customers to analyze needs, propose optimized solutions, and collaborate with talent team members.
• Provide high-end consultation during the sales process to diagnose needs and shape proposals.
• Coordinate survey/interview activities, project delivery and ensure timely execution of tasks.

Job description

A senior competency consultant is an expert with a wide range of knowledge about the skill assessment, learning development, talent development and management industry. Act as a partner to the customers, a senior competency consultant helps Huawei customers (Operators and Enterprises) to realize, implement and utilize the Talent solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of talent cultivation and development management.

Continuously conduct research to keep updated with the latest ICT, talent cultivation and development trends, insight market requirements, complete technical competency consulting service solutions R&D and management, such as talent technical competency modeling, technical skill assessment, talent review, learning map and training solution design, skill certification and talent development mechanism design etc.

Engage customers in the design of talent cultivation and development solutions, advise customers on how to optimize the usage of a solution with their specific context, including cooperating with other talent team members to deeply analyze customers’ needs, wants, pains, objectives, expectation and commitment levels

Partner with training professionals to provide high-end consultation throughout the sales process to diagnose customers’ needs, shape proposals and recommendations, and present technical elements of proposals to customers.

Take the lead in the implementation solution design and project delivery of complex and international projects, including survey and interview, technical competency modeling, talent review, technical skill assessment, learning map and training solution design, etc.

Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Data Analytics, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science, HR (Talent development, Learning development) or equivalent

With more than 5 years working experience in the talent cultivation and development management or consulting, such as training center construction, competency modeling, talent review, skill assessment, learning map and training plan design, etc.

With more than 5 years working experience in ICT field, and have a good understanding of digital transformation especially at the Digital Talent Transformation Phases align with Organization Business values.

Be familiar with HR Talent Development and Learning Development Management, and IT/Bigdata/AI technologies, familiar with SFIA or have ATD certification is preferred

Be familiar with the organizational structure, business, and ICT talent management of telecommunication operators or enterprises

Be familiar with basic knowledge of project management (project scope, responsibilities, progress, and risk management, etc.), be able to lead and manage the delivery of tasks to schedule

Excellent at communication, problem solving and self-learning, be able to communicate with high-level customer (CXO, GM, Director etc.) and handle projects independently

Be familiar with Office software, familiar with Excel macros, BI and other similar tools will be preferred

Familiarity with AI technologies is preferred

Extensive and frequent global travel required
