Job summary

AmBank Group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to drive business growth within our corporate banking segment in Seremban.

You will manage key client relationships, assess credit requirements, cross-sell the bank's full range of products, and lead a small team to achieve revenue targets while ensuring compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7–12 years of proven relationships, credit processing experience, and a strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or equivalent.
• Credit certification is preferred.
• Minimum 7–12 years of proven work experience in relationship management role, credit processing and cross selling.
• Expertise and knowledge in commercial banking products and services, financial analysis and credit write up.
• Strong customer service and relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth, increase market share and profitability via cross-selling AmBank Group's suite of products and services.
• Achieve the agreed budget/targets in total revenue, fee income, PBT, ROE for the team.
• Market and manage key client relationships on a consultative approach by understanding clients' business and financing requirements.
• Actively identify & develop new business opportunities with existing & potential clients.
• Ensure customers' needs are met while maintaining Division's profitability.
• Cross-sell products and services to increase clients' share of wallet by developing an account plan with product specialists.
• Provide training and guidance to team members including problem solving.
• Negotiate and structure deals with clients, providing holistic value-added solutions.
• Ensure compliance with the Bank's operating and accounting policies, systems and procedures.
• Report and make recommendations on any identified deficiency or areas requiring improvement in productivity or internal control.
