Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Client Management Officer to oversee client outreach, onboarding and periodic reviews (KYC), and to manage all related operational tasks such as account openings, disbursements, drawdowns, payments and collections. Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of corporate banking related experience and/or customer service and marketing related skillset.
• Experience handling client documentation and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Drive utilisation of facilities and maintain constant client communication to address operational needs.
• Collaborate with RM/ARM teams and product/back-office units to support client requirements.
• Prepare and issue facility letters for new facilities or renewals as needed.
• Work with legal counsels and RM teams on documentation and obtain approvals.
• Streamline documentation and processes to improve efficiency while protecting the bank’s interests.
• Take charge of client onboarding and ensure timely KYC reviews.
• Monitor client accounts for conduct and escalate anomalies to the RM team.
• Support LRMs/GRMs to manage relationships and facilitate deal execution within SMBC network.
• Assist RM in preparing sales pitches and marketing materials.
